Project Three: Character Texturing

The Process

Beginning with gathering reference from a variety of pre-existing steampunk worlds and characters, I studied the style and characteristics of “steampunk”. This model was imported into Maya for UVing and once UVed, it was exported into 3D Substance Painter for texturing. Using procedural maps and textures, combined with hand-painting details the texture was completed. The textures were then applied to the model, and with the finishing touches of adding lights to the eyes and emissive shaders to the lightbulb, the character was fully completed.
